The Human Think Tank !

A few words :

In this following poem, I go about telling that the human brain is a innocent tool during its inception. As time goes on, the brain gathers knowledge ( both constructive and destructive) and causes the mind to sway across the realms of the imaginable spectrum.

The Poem :

Thinking at the speed of light,
The mind feels no height.
The way ahead may be ablaze,
Alas, but it does feel a haze.

"Why?" asked the innocent brain,
-I process more than I can chew.
Arithmetic, politics and emotion,
What you process is what I feed.

Human mind, you are complex,
By practice and not by birth.
Your capabilities leave some to think,
Your trivialities cause others to blink.

Neural networks and fuzzy logic,
Exactly a truth, yet also maybe a lie.
I learn, for that, I am grateful
I am disabled and yet so powerful.

A weight assigned, A weight reduced.
You are what you decide and create.
You make the story, the lawyer and the jury
Human, I convict, acquit and rebuke.

Human brain, I placate thee,
For you are the supreme in me.
Impression does matter, my lord,
For I follow your right, will and judgement

Nature of Emotions

A few lines ..

In the below poem, I discuss about the nature of human emotions.  While I initially fancied controlling my emotions, my subconscious duly corrects me by convincing me that humans lose their identity in the process. In the first stanza, I go about discussing about how men perceive emotions to be and also express my desire to control them as a warhorse. The second and third stanzas discuss how emotions cause distress and passion to humans. The final stanza culminates in my hesitation to control the emotions following a terse counsel by my subconscious.

The actual stuff :

Emotions are like warhorses,
Strong and Athletic to see,
Ruthless in nature maybe,
The purpose in life is to Indulge.

Unpredictable ! Yes, with slight and hurt.
They tear you apart from within.
Attacking others when provoked,
Emotions are crazy creatures left alone.

Yet a strength they do give,
forever a power to achieve.
Passionate men treading about know,
Emotions are what keep them afloat.

Aha, we cannot be controlled,
For the whims of men are aplenty.
Once controlled, man loses direction,
Just to become a powerless powerful robot.

Attitude

Seven was the number,
"Impossible" remember.
The intellects and leaders rose,
To open what others close.

Ego makes and breaks !!

Ego, in its various forms, is driving the world. People are continuing to secretly bind themselves to their ego and other's egos. Even the preachers and the naysayers are unknowingly pulled into this intricate web. Thus, Progress, corruption and all other human actions are nothing but a consequence of the ego.

- My views on the intricate force that drives great men insane.

Will you do Community Service ?

Live life for yourself - you will be your brain.
Live life for others - you will be your heart.
Is the brainless heart or the heartless brain
That will define you, oh worthy one ?

Dual Pull of the Mind

Ahoy Sailor !
Do you see the cannon being shot?
To run or to stay, the question in mind,
Answer this way, for you are in grind.

The mind is at war,
The war is ever-ending, yet never-ending.
While it is Yes sometimes,
It is naught other times.

There is no incumbent, there is no permanence.
Life is but temporal, one might say.
The philosopher and the devil fight,
Day in and day out, Victor thy rise.

Philosophers deem their principles right,
Mind rules over matter,
Matter, thou must be present,
To make this sane philosopher right.

What is right and what is wrong ?
The devil or the philosopher,
It all depends on You, my child.
The loving child of humanity.

India with Anna Hazare

A life to wish, a life to act, a life to succeed or fail,
Man is not based on success but on action,
We have stood by a man who has acted,
A man who has voiced the nation's thought.

Drive to the top

Federer wins comfortably today; i think today is his lucky day. I again see him winning comfortably tomorrow and for the  rest of the year . This makes me gape in awe .

It is fascinating to watch Federer, Sachin or Messi perform. This is because we know that they are the best and they will prove once again that they are the best in the world. This consistency in their victories makes me think as to what is so different with them ? Is it that they have realized their strength early and have directed their efforts properly in that direction or that they have been born with extra talents and powers? Even the personality of these “greats” makes me wonder as to what keeps them going after attaining so much success so early in their life. Is it fame or excellence or mere existence that drives them? So, what makes the difference between these people and the other people who are caught in the rat-race.

Mankind has not been kind to everyone and nor can it be. That is why Communism is a failed theory – Not everyone is the same and cannot be accepted to be the same. It might be our desire to want to be the Alpha-male in any group but desire and prowess are different. As an illustration, think what would happen if 100 hundred males are kept together in the same level. The males differentiate themselves based on their prowess and settle down in roles comfortable to them – the like-minded fight it out and the best one wins the role. This is the universal logic – there can be only one best and no one better.
